The n-TiO nanoballs-sticks (TiO NBSs) were successfully deposited on p-lightly boron-doped diamond (LBDD) substrates by the hydrothermal method. The temperature-dependent optoelectronic properties and carrier transport behavior of the n-TiO NBS/p-LBDD heterojunction were investigated. The photoluminescence (PL) of the heterojunction detected four distinct emission peaks at 402 nm, 410 nm, 429 nm, and 456 nm that have the potential to be applied in white-green light-emitting devices.

Sleep need accumulates during waking and dissipates during sleep to maintain sleep homeostasis (process S). Besides the regulation of daily (baseline) sleep amount, homeostatic sleep regulation commonly refers to the universal phenomenon that sleep deprivation (SD) causes an increase of sleep need, hence, the amount and intensity of subsequent recovery sleep. The central regulators and signaling pathways that govern the baseline and homeostatic sleep regulations in mammals remain unclear.

Background: In recent years, the combination of CDK4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) and endocrine therapy (ET) has emerged as the standard first-line treatment for hormone receptor positive (HR+) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2-) metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients. However, the comparison between the efficacy of CDK4/6i has been poorly explored before. Moreover, it remains unclear about the optimal choice of CDK4/6i in the first-line treatment for HR+/HER2- MBC patients in Asian, especially Chinese populations.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the selective death of motor neurons in the spinal cord, brainstem, and motor cortex. This study investigates the effects of simvastatin on the G93A-copper/zinc superoxide dismutase (G93ASOD1) transgenic mouse model of ALS. The experiment included three groups: C57BL/6 wild-type (WT) mice, C57BL/6J SOD1G93A mice treated with PBS (SOD1G93A + PBS), and C57BL/6J SOD1G93A mice treated with simvastatin (SOD1G93A + simvastatin).

Strigolactones (SLs) are hormones essential for plant development and environmental responses. SL perception requires the formation of the complex composed of an SL receptor DWARF14 (D14), F-box protein D3, and transcriptional repressor D53, triggering ubiquitination and degradation of D53 to activate signal transduction.
