Introduction: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with subjective cognitive decline (SCD) and increased risk of cognitive decline and dementia. These relations are understudied in ethnoracially diverse groups. We examined associations among self-reported OSA risk, SCD, and cognitive performance in community-dwelling older Latinos.

PA changes were determined with a question.

To better understand this relationship in preclinical AD, we examined hippocampal volume and depressive symptoms in cognitively unimpaired carriers of the presenilin-1 (PSEN1) E280A mutation for autosomal dominant AD.
Methods: A total of 27 PSEN1 mutation carriers and 26 non-carrier family members were included.
Early cognitive changes due to Alzheimer's disease (AD) include difficulties in semantic access and working memory. Using a computerized cognitive test developed by our group, called the Memory for Semantically Related Objects test (MESERO), we evaluated if cognitively unimpaired carriers of an autosomal dominant AD (ADAD) mutation performed worse on this test than non-carrier family members. 35 cognitively unimpaired ADAD mutation carriers and 26 non-carrier family members from a Colombian ADAD cohort took the MESERO on a laptop computer.

We investigated associations among PiL, loneliness, and SCD in US Latino ( = 126), Black ( = 74), Asian ( = 33), and White ( = 637) adults. Higher PiL predicted lower SCD in all groups (p-values < .
