Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of oral mucosa is increasingly affecting younger individuals, particularly in the tongue. SCC can develop from disorders like oral lichen planus (OLP). This case highlights the first known instance of OLP and SCC in a pregnant woman, suggesting hormonal changes and HPV as possible risk factors.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin condition that can have a negative impact on a patient's quality of life. Long-term effectiveness is required to manage the symptoms of AD (skin inflammation, eczematous lesions, and itching). Because some of the systemic immunosuppressants used to treat AD have been associated with serious adverse events (AEs), other safer, more effective options, including dupilumab, have been proven effective long-term for treatment of adult and adolescent patients with moderate-to-severe AD.

Adopting policies that promote health for the entire biosphere (One Health) requires human societies to transition towards a more sustainable food supply as well as to deepen the understanding of the metabolic and health effects of evolving food habits. At the same time, life sciences are experiencing rapid and groundbreaking technological developments, in particular in laboratory analytics and biocomputing, placing nutrition research in an unprecedented position to produce knowledge that can be translated into practice in line with One Health policies. In this dynamic context, nutrition research needs to be strategically organised to respond to these societal expectations.

We used engagement marketing and human-centered design principles to cocreate a digital decision support tool for research participation with LGBTQIA+ community members to help them make an informed decision about joining the All of Us Research Program. Building on results from the research phase, we conducted eight problem validation and solutioning workshops with 48 LGBTQIA+ community members. Community members validated barriers to engagement with and brainstormed 47 potential digital solutions.
