An e-learning program improves low back pain beliefs of physiotherapists: a randomised trial.

Question: How effective is an e-learning program based on international clinical guidelines in promoting beliefs more aligned with the current evidence for the management of low back pain among physiotherapists?

Design: Randomised controlled trial with concealed allocation and intention-to-treat analysis.

Participants: 106 physiotherapists who treat patients with low back pain.

Interventions: The experimental group received access to an e-learning program, based on recommendations of clinical practice guidelines for the management of low back pain, over a 6-week period.

Climate and health education in public health schools worldwide during 2023-24: a survey.

Background: Public health professionals are crucial in implementing health-promoting climate change adaptation and mitigation measures, yet climate education is inconsistently integrated into public health curricula worldwide. We aimed to assess the proportion of institutions that provided public health degrees with climate and health education, the annual number of students trained in climate and health, and the extent to which students had climate and health knowledge during 2023-24.

Methods: From Nov 1, 2023, to March 15, 2024, our online survey quantified climate and health education in public health schools that provide degrees across all WHO regions.

Serum Neutrophil Biomarkers to Predict Crohn's Disease Progression and Infliximab Treatment Outcomes.

Background And Aims: Predicting the treatment outcomes of biological therapies is an unmet need in Crohn's Disease. In this study, we explored the potential of serum neutrophil-related biomarkers to predict infliximab therapeutic results and disease progression in Crohn's Disease patients, over a 2-year period, in a real-world setting.

Methods: The study included 100 asymptomatic Crohn's Disease patients in the IFX maintenance phase from the prospective, observational, multicenter DIRECT study.

Survival of pediatric patients with ependymoma in a tertiary cancer center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Introduction: Ependymoma is the third most frequent central malignant nervous system tumor in the pediatric age group. There is scarce data in the literature on survival of these patients, especially in upper and lower middle-income countries. We aimed to describe the clinical and demographic characteristics, treatment, and outcome of pediatric patients with ependymoma admitted to a public cancer hospital.
