Background: Pulsed-field ablation (PFA) is an innovative non-thermal method for arrhythmia treatment. The efficacy of various PFA configurations in relation to contact force (CF) has not been well-studied in vivo.
Objectives: This study evaluated the effect of CF on acute bipolar PFA lesions in both a vegetal and an in vivo porcine heart model.

Objectives: Ariel Dynamic Acute Pancreatitis Tracker (ADAPT) is an artificial intelligence tool using mathematical algorithms to predict severity and manage fluid resuscitation needs based on the physiologic parameters of individual patients. Our aim was to assess whether adherence to ADAPT fluid recommendations versus standard management impacted clinical outcomes in a large prospective cohort.
Method: We analyzed patients consecutively admitted to the Los Angeles General Medical Center between June 2015 to November 2022 whose course was richly characterized by capturing more than 100 clinical variables.
Background: Vietnam and its region are regarded as an ixodid tick biodiversity hotspot for at least two genera: Haemaphysalis and Dermacentor. To contribute to our knowledge on the tick fauna of this country, ticks from these two genera as well as an Ixodes species were analyzed morphologically and their molecular-phylogenetic relationships were examined in taxonomic and geographical contexts.
Methods: For this study, seven Haemaphysalis sp.
Accurate prediction of ligand-receptor binding affinity is crucial in structure-based drug design, significantly impacting the development of effective drugs. Recent advances in machine learning (ML)-based scoring functions have improved these predictions, yet challenges remain in modeling complex molecular interactions. This study introduces the AGL-EAT-Score, a scoring function that integrates extended atom-type multiscale weighted colored subgraphs with algebraic graph theory.

Aims: The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted healthcare systems and possibly impacted the management of heart failure (HF). This study examined the impact of the pandemic on HF hospitalization activities, outcomes, and costs in Victoria, Australia.
Methods And Results: Data on HF hospitalizations were acquired from the Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset.
