For the first time, the 9% Ni steel is being used in CO injection units in floating production storage offloading vessels. Pipe joints welded with nickel-based superalloy 625 as the filler metal present difficulties in ultrasonic inspection owing to the sonic attenuation and deviation caused by the anisotropic and coarse-grained weld metal. This study aims to conduct a probability of detection (POD) to evaluate the discontinuity detection reliability in 9% Ni steel arc welded joints.

Dyskerin associates with hundreds of H/ACA small RNAs to generate a multitude of functionally distinct ribonucleoproteins (RNPs). The DKC1 gene, encoding dyskerin, is mutated in the multisystem disorder X-linked dyskeratosis congenita (X-DC).

Adhesion to vitronectin was significantly inhibited by echistatin, kistrin, flavoridin, and mambin. Echistatin, flavoridin, and kistrin bound with high affinity to immobilized alpha V beta 3 in solid phase assay; other disintegrins bound at a much lower level.

Of the 10 patients, 7 were found to carry a diagnosis of schizophrenia at follow-up. In this subgroup, there was no significant change in the mean ventricular brain ratio measure of cerebral ventricular size between the index and follow-up scans.

A number of investigators have suggested that zinc ions play a role in platelet aggregation in vitro as well as in in vivo studies. The purpose of the present study was to explore the mechanism by which adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and Zn2+ may act cooperatively during activation of blood platelets.
