Abolishing age criterion to determine organ transplant recipients in Israel: A qualitative study of medical staff perceptions.

Introduction: Since April 2014 the age limitation on candidates listed for organ transplantation in Israel was abolished following the recommendations of a Public Committee. In this research the new policy was examined in light of scarce medical resources and the increased rate of aging in Israel.

Methods: The opinions of twelve medical staff regarding the policy change were analyzed by a qualitative methodology, using semi-structured interviews.

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) often occurs following mass casualty events, yet the connection between the number of individuals injured in an event and PTSD risk in smaller-scale events (i.e., involving one or several injured persons) remains unclear.

Synthesis and catalytic activity of heterobimetallic Au/M (M = Rh, Ir) complexes with ditopic mono- and triphosphane ligands.

A series of heterobimetallic complexes Au/M (M = Rh, Ir) were prepared on the basis of two ditopic ligands: a monophosphane ligand L1H and a triphosphane ligand L2H. The complexes were fully characterised, including single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Catalytic activity of cationic L1/Au/Ir and L2/Au/Ir bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide was analysed through their capacity to induce allenyl ether rearrangement and cycloisomerisation of -propargyl benzamide.
