Access to MRI in Patients With Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices is Variable and an Issue in Australia.

Aims: This study aimed to characterise the level of access to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in Australian hospitals for patients with MR-conditional and non-MR-conditional cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIED), and to identify any barriers impeding this access.

Methods: All Australian Tertiary Referral Public Hospitals (n=38) were surveyed with a mixed qualitative and quantitative questionnaire. Provision of MRI to patients with MR-conditional and non-MR-conditional CIEDs; patient monitoring strategies during scan and personnel in attendance; barriers impeding MRI access.

Background: People living with Parkinson's disease experience progressive motor and non-motor symptoms, which negatively impact on health-related quality of life and can lead to an increased risk of hospitalisation. It is increasingly recognised that the current care models are not suitable for the needs of people with parkinsonism whose care needs evolve and change as the disease progresses. This trial aims to evaluate whether a complex and innovative model of integrated care will increase an individual's ability to achieve their personal goals, have a positive impact on health and symptom burden and be more cost-effective when compared with usual care.

Although white rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum) are common in captivity, few behavioral studies have been conducted and there is seemingly no research for immersive exhibits where potential for visitor effects is high. Prone Positioning of Older Adults with COVID-19: A Brief Review and Proposed Protocol.

COVID-19 disproportionately affects older people, with higher rates of infection and a higher risk of adverse outcomes. A brief review of literature was undertaken to inform development of a protocol describing the indications and process of prone positioning to aid the management of COVID-19 infection in non-mechanically ventilated, awake older adults. PubMed was searched up to 14th January 2021 to identify English language papers that described prone positioning procedures used in non-mechanically ventilated patients.
