Lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymphadenectomy (LM/SL) have been successfully used in pre-treatment nodal staging of gynaecological cancers. We hypothesised the added-value of LM/SL plus SPECT/CT in patients with early stage of cervical cancer and vulvar cancer. A prospective, single-center, diagnostic, open label, active control, non-randomized clinical trial has been conducted in 7 patients with FIGO IA-IB1 cervical cancer and 7 patients with FIGO stage I-II-IIIcN0 vulvar cancer.

There is controversy about patient outcomes and pathological parameters of prognostic significance in patients with stage II or stage III ovarian serous borderline tumors. Forty-nine cases of stage II and III ovarian serous borderline tumors were identified on review of the medical records at Vancouver Hospital and British Columbia Cancer Agency for the period from 1979 to 1996. Pathological features assessed included presence of micropapillary architecture, tumor cell DNA content (ploidy), and characteristics of the extraovarian implants, including invasiveness and mitotic activity.

Background: Amyloidosis of the uterine cervix is rare.

Case: A postmenopausal woman with systemic amyloidosis related to multiple myeloma presented with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding.

Conclusion: This case illustrates the variable presentation of amyloidosis.

Objective: The aim of this study was to document a case of advanced stage clear cell carcinoma of the endometrium which underwent spontaneous regression (SR) and comment on the possible contribution of the patient's thrombocytosis.

Case Report: A 73-year-old woman with essential thrombocytosis presented with vaginal bleeding. Imaging demonstrated a complex uterine mass, a 4-cm infrarenal mass, and a 5-cm subumbilical mass.
