Metallic injection molding combines aluminum flake metallic pigments with polymers to directly produce components with metallic luster, improving production efficiency and reducing environmental impact. However, flake line defects that occur in regions where ribs or flow paths intersect remain a significant challenge. This study proposes a velocity model that considers the flow characteristics between the surface and core layers and an alignment model that incorporates the orientation of aluminum flakes to predict appearance defects.

The present study explored the possible antiobesogenic and osteoprotective properties of the gut metabolite ginsenoside CK to clarify its influence on lipid and atherosclerosis pathways, thereby validating previously published hypotheses. These hypotheses were validated by harvesting and cultivating 3T3-L1 and MC3T3-E1 in adipogenic and osteogenic media with varying concentrations of CK. We assessed the differentiation of adipocytes and osteoblasts in these cell lines by applying the most effective doses of CK that we initially selected.

We previously reported that metformin, a widely prescribed antidiabetic drug, induces the accumulation of triglyceride (TG) together with the apoptotic death of H4IIE via AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. However, the effect of cytoplasmic fat accumulation on the growth of HCCs remains controversial. Until now, Hippo pathway-mediated nucleocytoplasmic translocation has been considered the primary mechanism by which yes-associated protein (YAP) and transcriptional co-activator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) transcriptional coactivators regulate cell proliferation and differentiation via transcriptional enhanced associate domain (TEAD)-mediated target gene expression. In this study, however, we found that TAZ, but not YAP, is associated with the Golgi apparatus in macrophages activated via Toll-like receptor ligands during the resolution phase of inflammation. Golgi-associated TAZ enhanced vesicle trafficking and secretion of proinflammatory cytokines in M1 macrophage independent of the Hippo pathway.
