The monitoring of life of microbial populations is of the uttermost importance in environmental and food analysis, agriculture, as well as in medicine. The duration of bacteria adaptation to new environmental conditions, its lifetime and the divisions' pace are the key information in many studies. It was found that the fully-mechanized flow analysis system based on solenoid valves and pumps, paired with a dedicated flow-through optoelectronic detector can be successfully applied for monitoring of bacteria growth.
