Background: Patients with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) suffer from several neuropsychological impairments. These mainly affect the frontal lobe and subcortical brain structures. However, a scale for the assessment of cognitive and neuropsychiatric disability in PSP is still missing.

Biosorption of heavy metals by microalgae: Hazardous side effects for marine organisms.

Biosorption is nowadays recommended as an ecological and environmentally friendly alternative to remove metals from contaminated regions. Even in situ incubations of algae on the seabed are conducted to investigate potential future ways of reducing metal contamination. Our study investigated the negative effects on microorganisms when metal-enriched algae are released into the marine environment.

Targeting human plasma cells using regulated BCMA CAR T cells eliminates circulating antibodies in humanized mice.

Pathogenic long-lived plasma cells (LLPCs) secrete autoreactive antibodies, exacerbating autoimmune diseases and complicating solid organ transplantation. Targeted elimination of the autoreactive B cell pool represents a promising therapeutic strategy, yet current treatment modalities fall short in depleting mature PCs. Here, we demonstrate that chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells, targeting B cell maturation antigen (BCMA) utilizing a split-receptor design, offer a controlled and effective therapeutic strategy against LLPCs.

Objective: The objective of this video is to review a case of a patient that presented to urogynecology clinic for prolapse but was noted to have anterior vaginal cyst. In this video, we review differential diagnosis, embryologic origin of vaginal cyst, excision procedure, imaging, and pathology of the vaginal cyst.

Setting: Urogynecology clinic/operating room PARTICIPANT: Patient who presented with anterior vaginal cyst INTERVENTION: Thirty-four-year-old G0 referred to Urogynecology for a vaginal bulge.
