Background And Purpose: Daily online adaptive radiotherapy (DART) increases treatment accuracy by crafting daily customized plans that adjust to the patient's daily setup and anatomy. The routine application of DART is limited by its resource-intensive processes. This study proposes a novel DART strategy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), automizing the process by propagating physician-edited treatment contours for each fraction.

Background: Lymph node count (LNC) from neck dissection has been associated with undernutrition and survival in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). As local components of the immune system, cervical lymph nodes may reflect anti-tumor immune status. This study investigates the relationship between decreased LNC, formation of tertiary lymphoid structures (TLS), and primary tumor infiltration by lymphocytes in undernourished patients.

Article Synopsis
  • The text discusses severe paranoia, a type of persecutory delusion commonly seen in schizophrenia, where individuals mistakenly believe they are being harmed by others.
  • The study aimed to identify and prioritize important research questions regarding severe paranoia through surveys involving patients, families, mental health staff, and researchers.
  • Findings revealed 15 key research questions of consensus among stakeholders, focusing on understanding paranoia, supporting affected individuals and families, and improving treatment options.

Purpose: Optimal head-and-neck cancer (HNC) treatment planning requires accurate and feasible planning goals to meet dosimetric constraints and generate robust online adaptive treatment plans. A new x-ray-based adaptive radiotherapy (ART) treatment planning system (TPS) version 2.0 emulator includes novel methods to drive the planning process including the revised intelligent optimization engine algorithm (IOE2).
