We therefore aimed to investigate the use of occupational adjustments and their impact on work ability upon return to work.
Methods: As part of the AYA-LE study, we surveyed AYA-CS (aged 18-39 at diagnosis) who returned to work and assessed work ability (Work Ability Index) as well as use and benefit of occupational adjustments.
Objective: This paper reports on the process used to embark on one of the core strategies of Abu Dhabi's Department of Health, which was to develop a roadmap for HTA implementation and institutionalization, based on the aspirations and needs of local stakeholders and making use of the evidence-informed deliberative processes framework. The paper also highlights the main features of the road map that may be expected to address some of the current challenges.
Methods: A series of activities were undertaken that informed the subsequent development of the roadmap.
Radical S-adenosyl methionine enzymes catalyze a diverse repertoire of post-translational modifications in protein and peptide substrates. Among these, an exceptional and mechanistically obscure example is the installation of α-keto-β-amino acid residues by formal excision of a tyrosine-derived tyramine unit. The responsible spliceases are key maturases in a widespread family of natural products termed spliceotides that comprise potent protease inhibitors, with the installed β-residues being crucial for bioactivity.
