Public knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding antibiotics use and resistance in Montenegro.

A drug consumption monitoring revealed that Montenegro is one of the major consumers of antimicrobial drugs in Europe. The aim of this study is to obtain the first data on the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of the general population in Montenegro regarding antibiotics use. This cross-sectional study was designed according to the methodology of Eurobarometer survey on antimicrobial resistance, created by the European Commission.

Clinical Significance of Nephrogenic Adenoma of the Urinary Bladder: Implications for Differential Diagnosis and Potential for Malignant Transformation.

Nephrogenic adenoma of the urinary bladder is a rare, benign lesion associated with prior inflammation or irritation of the urothelium. Although typically benign, nephrogenic adenoma can present diagnostic challenges due to its potential to mimic malignant tumors of the urinary tract. In this report, we present a case of an elderly woman with a history of recurrent urinary tract infections and bladder stone surgery who developed nephrogenic adenoma.

Genetic trends in the Kenya Highland Maize Breeding Program between 1999 and 2020.

Optimization of a breeding program requires assessing and quantifying empirical genetic trends made through past efforts relative to the current breeding strategies, germplasm, technologies, and policy. To establish the genetic trends in the Kenyan Highland Maize Breeding Program (KHMP), a two-decade (1999-2020) historical dataset from the Preliminary Variety Trials (PVT) and Advanced Variety Trials (AVT) was analyzed. A mixed model analysis was used to compute the genetic gains for traits based on the best linear unbiased estimates in the PVT and AVT evaluation stages.

MDE and LLM Synergy for Network Experimentation: Case Analysis of Wireless System Performance in Beaulieu-Xie Fading and κ-µ Co-Channel Interference Environment with Diversity Combining.

Channel modeling is a first step towards the successful projecting of any wireless communication system. Hence, in this paper, we analyze the performance at the output of a multi-branch selection combining (SC) diversity receiver in a wireless environment that has been distracted by fading and co-channel interference (CCI), whereby the fading is modelled by newer Beaulieu-Xie (BX) distribution, and the CCI is modelled by the κ-µ distribution. The BX distribution provides the ability to include in consideration any number of line-of-sight (LOS) useful signal components and non-LOS (NLOS) useful signal components.

Exploring the effects of habitat management on grassland biodiversity: A case study from northern Serbia.

Grasslands represent a biodiversity hotspot in the European agricultural landscape, their restoration is necessary and offers a great opportunity to mitigate or halt harmful processes. These measures require a comprehensive knowledge of historical landscape changes, but also adequate management strategies. The required data was gathered from the sand grasslands of northern Serbia, as this habitat is of high conservation priority.
