Background: Accessory and cavitated uterine masses (ACUM) are rare Mullerian anomalies, defined as an isolated accessory cavitated mass lined with endometrial epithelium.

Objectives: This article explores ACUM lesions from two aspects and integrates a case report of a successful laparoscopic-assisted intervention for ACUM in a 24-year-old woman with refractory dysmenorrhea with a review of current literature on laparoscopic surgical techniques. Unique to this case was the process of undergoing targeted genetic sequencing via the Find ITTM Panel Version 3.

A high prevalence of chronic diseases exposes diverse healthcare pain points due to the limited effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs and biologics, sedentary lifestyles, insufficient health literacy, chronic stress, unsatisfactory patient experience, environmental pollution and competition with commercial determinants of health. To improve patient care and long-term outcomes, the impact of the home environment is overlooked and underutilized by healthcare. This cross-disciplinary work describes perspectives on (1) the home environment as a therapeutic target for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases and (2) transforming health-centric household goods e-commerce platforms into digital health interventions.

Objective: Oral contraceptives reduce ovarian cancer risk, but the mechanism of risk reduction is not understood. We examined whether oral contraceptive pill (OCP) use influences p53 signatures, which are putative early fallopian tube precursors for high-grade serous ovarian carcinomas.

Methods: For this retrospective cohort (n = 250) of subjects aged over 50 years who had fallopian tubes removed at the time of a benign gynecologic procedure, we used health records to identify 72 patients who used OCPs for at least 5 years and 178 subjects with no history of OCP use.

Small cell carcinoma of the ovary-hypercalcemic type (SCCOHT) is a rare ovarian cancer affecting young females and is driven by the loss of both SWI/SNF ATPases SMARCA4 and SMARCA2. As loss of SWI/SNF alters enhancers, we hypothesized that super-enhancers, which regulate oncogene expression in cancer, are disparately impacted by SWI/SNF loss. We discovered differences between SWI/SNF occupancy at enhancers vs.
