Therefore, the aim of this randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial was to investigate the effect of acute CHO intake during a CF session on the delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), the perceived exertion (RPE), performance, recovery, and metabolic markers (capillary lactate and glucose) in CF athletes. Twenty-three male athletes trained in CF ingested CHO (60 g of maltodextrin + fructose) or a placebo (PLA) during a CF session.
