Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP) is a rare disease characterized by inflammatory flares of soft tissues, leading to heterotopic ossification and significant cumulative morbidity and early mortality. FOP minor trauma, including intramuscular medication administration, can induce ossification and should be avoided. We present a case of known FOP in a patient who presented with fevers of unknown origin and was found to have biopsy-proven ileal Crohn's disease.
