A 35-year-old male with a history of hypertension presented with a thunderclap headache. Laboratory tests revealed isolated mild thrombocytopenia and plain brain imaging was normal. Background: Diverse lepidopteran insects cause serious damage to plants, and their larvae possess a crucial epidermal barrier against environmental stimuli. Their ultraviolet (UV) resistance is enhanced by accumulating uric acid granules in the epidermis, suggesting that genes involved in this process may be potential targets for lepidopteran pest management.

Results: The silkworm pan-genome dataset is a valuable source for studying genomic mutations and phenotype-genotype associations.

Background: Managing postoperative pain and stress response was critical in laparoscopic myomectomy, a procedure for uterine fibroids. Ropivacaine transversus abdominis plane block (RTAPB) may offer enhanced analgesic efficacy and reduced stress responses compared to traditional analgesia.

Methods: This retrospective analysis examined 217 patients undergoing laparoscopic myomectomy at Hankou Hospital of Wuhan from June 2020 to September 2023.

Objective: To measure concentrations of tenofovir diphosphate (TFV-DP) in dried blood spots (DBS) among individuals taking tenofovir disoproxil fumarate plus emtricitabine (TDF/FTC) or tenofovir alafenamide plus emtricitabine (TAF/FTC) who were scheduled to undergo or had already undergone bariatric surgery.

Methods: We enrolled pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) users attending clinics in Toronto or Ottawa who were undergoing or had undergone bariatric surgery. After participants completed a minimum of 7 days of consecutive PrEP dosing, we collected DBS samples immediately before they administered their next daily dose of PrEP.
