Background: Identifying factors mediating adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs)-induced endothelial cell angiogenesis in hypoxic skin flap tissue is critical for reconstruction. While the paracrine action of VEGF by adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) is established in promoting endothelial cell angiogenesis, the role of FGF2 and its regulatory mechanisms in ADSCs paracrine secretion remains unclear.

Methods: We induced hypoxia and examined the expression level of FGF2 in ADSCs using ELISA, qRT-PCR, and western blotting.

Background: To investigate prenatal ultrasound findings and the chromosomal outcomes of mosaic embryo transfer.

Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on pregnant women who underwent mosaic embryo transfer following blastocyst-stage preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) at CHA Gangnam Medical Center from January 2021 to July 2024. Trophectoderm biopsy specimens were collected using standard protocols, and next-generation sequencing profiles were defined as mosaics when displaying copy number counts in the 20-80% range.

Background: Although the Notch signaling pathway is known to play an important role in ovarian follicle development in mammals, whether it is involved in oocyte maturation remains unclear. Therefore, this study was performed to elucidate the existence and role of the Notch signaling pathway during oocyte maturation in a porcine model.

Methods: Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunocytochemical assays were used to determine the existence of Notch signaling pathway-related transcripts and proteins in porcine cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs).

This study investigated the potential of Porphyra derivatives (PD), including Porphyra334, to activate the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2) pathway in porcine oocytes to enhance oocyte competency and intracellular networks. Conventional methods for manipulating mitochondrial functions and antioxidant pathways often rely upon genetic modifications that are impractical for direct application in humans. We hypothesized that PD serves as a natural regulator of the NRF2 pathway without requiring genetic intervention.

This paper introduces the Spatio-Temporal Cross Network (STCNet), a novel deep learning architecture tailored for robust hand gesture recognition in surface electromyography (sEMG) across multiple subjects. We address the challenges associated with the inter-subject variability and environmental factors such as electrode shift and muscle fatigue, which traditionally undermine the robustness of gesture recognition systems. STCNet integrates a convolutional-recurrent architecture with a spatio-temporal block that extracts features over segmented time intervals, enhancing both spatial and temporal analysis.
