Poorer longitudinal growth among HIV exposed compared to unexposed infants in Kenya.

Background: Most infants born to women living with HIV (WLH) are HIV-exposed but uninfected exposed infants have poorer growth than HIV-unexposed uninfected children. Few large studies have compared children who are exposed (CHEU) and unexposed (CHUU) in the era of dolutegravir (DTG)-based antiretroviral treatment (ART).

Setting: Longitudinal study of mother-infant CHEU and CHUU pairs in Nairobi and Western Kenya.

Measuring improvements in occupational health and safety in the artificial stone benchtop industry.

Objectives: Workers in the stone benchtop industry in Australia are at high risk of silicosis due to exposure to respirable crystalline silica (RCS) from the dry processing of artificial stone. In Victoria, Australia, a multifaceted response including education, regulatory changes, inspection site visits, and occupational health screening programme began in 2019. We aimed to review the success of this approach to safety practices in the industry.

Keloid management: a review of treatment modalities.

Keloids are an aberrant fibroproliferative response to wound healing of the skin, leading to scar tissue that expands above and beyond the original cutaneous injury. Keloids can be difficult to treat because of their tendency to recur after treatments, including after excision. There is a myriad of treatment modalities used, which can be used as monotherapy or in combination with surgical excision or other treatment methods.
