Confirmation by spiral CT of a partially occlusive thrombus of the right pulmonary artery suggested by a V/Q lung scan.

Findings on perfusion and ventilation imaging in a 24-year-old woman with anterior chest pain were consistent with pulmonary embolism involving the right lung. An astute physician raised the possibility of a thrombus occluding the right pulmonary artery, and subsequent spiral computed tomography confirmed the suspicion of an occluding thrombus at that site. Had spiral computed tomography been done first, the diagnosis would have been made much more rapidly.

[Strict anteroposterior radiography of the shoulder: value of the assessment of rotator cuff tears].

Purpose: To compare the contribution of various radiographic projections in the evaluation of impingement syndrome and rotator cuff tears. Materials and method. We realized a prospective study in 53 patients with suspected rotator cuff tear, evaluated by plain radiographs and arthrography (gold standard).

[HASTE sequence and cine-MRI evaluation of the cervical spinal canal: evaluation in 11 healthy subjects].

Purpose: We studied 11 healthy subjects were evaluated using cine MR imaging comparing HASTE and gradient echo sequences. Materials and methods :HASTE is a high-speed turbo-spin echo T2-weighted sequence. All examinations were performed using dynamic MRI using a simple process allowing acquisition of images at different stages during flexion and extension.

[Capsular retraction of shoulder: prospective study of imaging benefits in 20 patients].

Purpose: To evaluate the contribution of principal imaging techniques in diagnosis and treatment in adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder.

Materials And Methods: In 20 patients presenting adhesive capsulitis of shoulder since mean of 6,7 months, the following examinations were performed: radiographies, angioscintigraphy, MRI as well as an opaque arthrography and a bursography associated with corticosteroid injection. Patients were followed during one year.
