The Effects of Ketamine-Propofol and Remifentanil-Propofol Combinations on Integrated Pulmonary Index During Sedation in Gastrointestinal System Endoscopy.

Objectives: Different sedo-analgesia and monitoring methods are used during endoscopic procedures. And yet, there is no consensus on optimal sedating agents. In this study, the main aim is to compare ketamine-propofol and remifentanil propofol sedo-analgesia protocols by monitoring integrated pulmonary index (IPI).

Effect of Neurostimulator Usage on Block Success in Costoclavicular Block: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: The need of a neurostimulator for a successful nerve block was questioned in different block types after ultrasound had become standard.

Aim: To determine the effect of neurostimulator use on block success in the costoclavicular block (CCB).

Methods: Sixty patients undergoing upper limb surgery were enrolled in the study.

Our central venous port catheter system practice - a retrospective study.

Objective: To evaluate indications for insertion, complications and indications of central venous port catheters, and to identify indications for their removal.

Methods: The retrospective study was conducted at Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey, and comprised data from January 2006 to June 2014 of patients who had central venous port catheters. The indications for removal of the catheters were also evaluated.

Comparison of the anesthetic effects of intrathecal levobupivacaine + fentanyl and bupivacaine + fentanyl during caesarean section.

Background: Regional anesthesia techniques are increasingly preferred for caesarean section. The aim of the present study was to compare the anesthetic effects of levobupivacaine + fentanyl and bupivacaine + fentanyl on the mother and newborn during elective caesarean section under spinal anesthesia.

Methods: In this prospective study, 50 gravidas, who were scheduled for cesarean section were enrolled after Ethics Committee approval had been obtained.
