Endovascular treatment of femoropopliteal artery (FPA) disease with Drug-coated balloons (DCBs) may face complications such as arterial recoil, dissection, and residual stenosis. Angiography has limited accuracy for evaluating blood flow through revascularized target lesions. Thus, there is a need for post-procedure hemodynamic assessment in treated limbs.

Prevention and Management of Infectious Complications in Pediatric Patients With Cancer: A Survey Assessment of Current Practices Across Children's Oncology Group Institutions.

Introduction: While clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) for pediatric oncology infection prophylaxis and management exist, few data describe actual management occurring at pediatric oncology centers.

Methods: An electronic survey querying infection management practices in nontransplant pediatric oncology patients was iteratively created by the Children's Oncology Group (COG) Cancer Control and Supportive Care Infectious Diseases Subcommittee and sent to leaders at all COG institutions, limiting each site to one response to represent their institution.

Results: The response rate was 57% (129/227 institutions).

This article examines the spectral scattering characteristics of subwavelength-sized spherical particles probed by tightly focused THz waves through numerical simulations and experimental techniques. The simulations reveal that the scattering intensity for lower Mie resonance modes (magnetic dipole and electric dipole modes) remains largely unaffected when THz waves are focused down to 0.

Background: Given the crucial role of integrating acupuncture treatment into primary care for managing chronic diseases, this study endeavors to identify the utilization of acupuncture among chronic disease patients seeking primary care services in Korea. Additionally, it aims to evaluate their knowledge level and perceptions related to acupuncture use.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among chronic disease patients attending a primary care clinic in Korea.

In this study, we investigated the impact of cellular adaptation to lactic acidosis on intracellular energy metabolism and sensitivity to docetaxel in prostate carcinoma (PC) cells. The effects of curcumin and the role of hexokinase 2 (HK2) in this process were also examined.
