Purpose: The human papillomavirus (HPV) is a significant cause of cervical cancer. We hypothesized that detecting viral cell-free HPV DNA (cfDNA) before, during, and after chemoradiation (chemoRT) could provide insights into disease extent, clinical staging, and treatment response.

Experimental Design: Sixty-six patients with locally advanced cervical cancer were enrolled between 2017 and 2023.

Leadership positions with enormous responsibilities are challenging; at times leaders may feel isolated or lonely. A mastermind team is a small group of peer mentors or a personal board of directors, who meet on a recurring basis to share ideas for feedback, groupsource solutions, and to celebrate/commiserate on events. Joining a mastermind team helps leaders receive psychological support, encouragement, inspiration, suggestions for solving problems, and resources to manage challenges.

The growth rate of in situ-induced hepatic lesions in an Oncopig large animal model is quantitatively assessed. Oncopigs (n = 9) received baseline triple-phase CT scans prior to lesion induction. Lesions were subsequently induced by delivering the Ad-Cre vector to four locations in the liver.

The success of composite materials is attributed to the nature of bonding at the nanoscale and the resulting structure-related properties. This study reports on the interaction, electronic, and optical properties of diamond nanothread/polymers (cellulose and epoxy) and boron nitride nanotube/calcium silicate hydrate composites using density functional theory modeling. Our findings indicate that the interaction between the nanothread and polymer is due to van der Waals-type bonding.
