En Coup de Sabre in a Pediatric Patient Treated With Calcipotriene.

En coup de sabre (ECDS) is a form of linear scleroderma or morphea that distinctly appears on the forehead and/or frontoparietal scalp. We report a case of a 6-year-old female that presented with a linear, hyperpigmented scar on her left forehead extending to her scalp with resultant alopecia and discoloration in the affected area. The patient was subsequently treated with topical calcipotriene ointment and had an excellent response with normalization of the sclerotic skin, hair regrowth, and improved hyperpigmentation.

Pityriasis Lichenoides-Like Mycosis Fungoides: A Case Report.

A rare subtype of mycosis fungoides (MF) known as pityriasis lichenoides-like mycosis fungoides (PL-like MF) manifests as recurrent crops of erythematous scaly papules with the histological findings of MF. We report a 64-year-old male with recurrent crops of psoriasiform papules with mild scales on his trunk and extremities. Skin biopsy results were consistent with CD8+ cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).

A Review of Cutaneous Diseases Observed in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients.

Solid organ transplant recipients are at increased risk for numerous cutaneous conditions that fall within four categories: pre-neoplastic, neoplastic, infectious, or idiopathic. Many of these diseases can be attributed to immunosuppressive medications, including mycophenolate mofetil, cyclosporine, azathioprine, tacrolimus, or glucocorticoids. Iatrogenic lessening of the immune system places the patient at risk of malignancies, opportunistic infections, immune-mediated dermatoses, and adverse effects of medications.
