Computed tomography morphomics and antifibrotic therapy in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Aim: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a debilitating and fatal lung disease. Changes in body composition potentially correlate with outcomes in patients with IPF.

Materials And Methods: Patients with IPF on antifibrotic treatment attending a single institution were identified and retrospectively evaluated (n=84).

Super-Resolved Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging of Single Cy3 Molecules and Quantum Dots Using Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting with a Four-Pixel Fiber Optic Array Camera.

Time-resolved single molecule localization microscopy (TR-SMLM) with a 2 × 2 pixel fiber optic array camera was combined with time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC) to obtain super-resolved fluorescence lifetime images of individual Cy3 dye molecules and individual colloidal CdSe/CdS/ZnS core/shell/shell semiconductor quantum dots (QDs). The characteristic blinking and bleaching behavior of the Cy3 and the blinking behavior of the QD emitters were used as distinguishing optical characteristics to isolate them and determine their centroid locations with spatial resolution below the optical diffraction limit. TCSPC was used to characterize the fluorescence lifetime and intensity corresponding to each emitter location.

Nurses' experiences with virtual care during the COVID-19 pandemic: a qualitative study in primary care.

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual care was used to deliver primary care services. Nurses contributed to primary care teams' capacity to deliver care virtually. This study explored nurses' roles in virtual care delivery in primary care and the barriers and facilitators that influenced their contributions.

Intravenous thrombolysis in a stroke patient with a repaired aortic dissection.

Acute aortic dissection is considered a contraindication to the use of intravenous thrombolysis in patients presenting with acute ischaemic stroke, but less has been described about previously repaired dissections. We present a case of a woman in her 50s presenting with acute left hemiparesis with a known history of aortic dissection within the thrombolysis window. After multidisciplinary discussion with cardiothoracic surgery and discussion with the patient, she was treated with intravenous thrombolysis without complication.
