Rotavirus group A (RVA) is a major cause of pediatric acute gastroenteritis (AGE). Vaccination is an effective public health strategy and Angola implemented it in 2014. This hospital-based study aimed to estimate the prevalence of RVA infection and the severity of AGE in children under five years of age treated at six hospitals in Luanda Province.

Objective: To determine if implementing stewardship pharmacist-driven methicillin-resistant (MRSA) nasal surveillance increases use of the test and reduces the inappropriate use of vancomycin for MRSA coverage in patients with pneumonia.
Design: Retrospective pre-/post-intervention study.
Setting: Large teaching acute care hospital.
In this work, the first review paper about -iridoids was presented. In particular, their detailed occurrence, chemophenetic evaluation and biological activities were reported. To the best of our knowledge, two hundred and eighty-eight -iridoids have been evidenced so far, bearing different structural features, with the link between two -iridoids sub-units as the major one.

This was carried out by means of column chromatography, NMR spectroscopy and MS spectrometry on the female cone, evidencing the presence of forty metabolites, thirty-three of which are primary whilst the remaining are non-volatile secondary.
