Epilepsy is a chronic neurological condition with various etiologies, and recurrent unprovoked seizures characterize it. Hypersalivation is a recognized symptom of insular-opercular epilepsies. A wide range of symptoms can occur during a seizure, including hypersalivation, autonomic responses, oropharyngeal sensations, visceral sensations, somatosensory disturbances, and emotional manifestations.

Methods: Using data from Action for Health in Diabetes (Look AHEAD), a national, multisite clinical trial that ran from 2001 to 2012, and machine-learning techniques, we generated predicted individual treatment effects for each participant. We tested for heterogeneity in treatment response and computed the degree to which treatment effects could be improved by targeting individuals most likely to benefit.
During bacterial translation initiation, the 30S ribosomal subunit, initiation factors, and initiator tRNA define the reading frame of the mRNA. This process is inhibited by kasugamycin, edeine and GE81112, however, their mechanisms of action have not been fully elucidated. Here we present cryo-electron microscopy structures of 30S initiation intermediate complexes formed in the presence of kasugamycin, edeine and GE81112 at resolutions of 2.

Bedmap3 incorporates and adds to all post-1950s datasets previously used for Bedmap2, including 84 new aero-geophysical surveys by 15 data providers, an additional 52 million data points and 1.9 million line-kilometres of measurement.

Here we report the synthesis of a library of tetrahydrofuran-containing pMLs underpinned by a robust and convergent build/couple/pair/couple synthetic approach. The library comprises 170 pMLs originating from 17 building blocks, 10 of which were synthesized using a proline-catalyzed α-chlorination aldol reaction.
