Aims: The aim of this study was to explore differences in operative autonomy by trainee gender during orthopaedic training in Ireland and the UK, and to explore differences in operative autonomy by trainee gender with regard to training year, case complexity, index procedures, and speciality area.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study examined all operations recorded by orthopaedic trainees in Ireland and the UK between July 2012 and July 2022. The primary outcome was operative autonomy, which was defined as the trainee performing the case without the supervising trainer scrubbed.
Dengue is endemic in tropical and subtropical regions, affecting millions of people worldwide. While it is not endemic to Australia, outbreaks can occur in Queensland each year. The rarity of dengue in other regions of Australia may pose a diagnostic challenge when patients present at hospitals.

For this study, 146 employees trialed an active back exosuit in the field for 4 h, completing an acceptance usability survey. Comparing the 80% of employees willing to continue wearing this device (N = 117) to those who were not (N = 29) revealed that employees willing to wear this device for a longer-term study generally were more likely to perceive this back exosuit to be effective (helpful) and compatible (minimally disruptive) to their everyday work.
