Background: Acute neuropsychiatric disorders are heterogeneous conditions resulting from interaction between genetic and environmental features. Among these, post infectious forms like Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS) are common.
