Objectives: To evaluate whether embryo transfers at blastocyst stage improve the cumulative live birth rate after oocyte retrieval, including both fresh and frozen-thawed transfers, and whether the risk of obstetric and perinatal complications is increased compared with cleavage stage embryo transfers during in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment.
Design: Multicentre randomised controlled trial.
Setting: 21 hospitals and clinics in the Netherlands, 18 August 2018 to 17 December 2021.
Objectives: This study uses the diffusion of innovations (DOI) theory to comprehensively understand the adoption of shared decision-making (SDM) in clinical practice, specifically focusing on the 'knowledge' and 'persuasion' stages within DOI. We aim to understand the challenges and dynamics associated with SDM adoption, offering insights for more patient-centred decision-making in healthcare.
Design: This qualitative study employs a modified framework analysis approach, integrating ethnographic and interview data from prior research, along with additional interviews.
Background: Due to a heterogeneity of symptoms, a lack of an adequate diagnostic test, and a lack of awareness, diagnostic delay in endometriosis in primary care on average amounts to 35 months.
Aim: To determine which interventions are most feasible to reduce time to diagnosis in primary care, focusing on GPs' preferences, the intervention's content, design, and implementation.
Design & Setting: We conducted a qualitative study by performing focus groups with GPs and GP trainees between July and October 2021.
Background: Girls with Turner syndrome (TS) lack a partial or complete sex chromosome, which causes an accelerated decline of their ovarian reserve. Girls have to deal with several dilemmas related to their fertility, while only a limited number of them are referred to a fertility specialist and counselled about options of family planning on time.
Objective And Rationale: This scoping review provides an update of the literature on fertility in girls with TS throughout their lifespan and aims to propose a clinical practice guideline on fertility in TS.
