Many health promotion programs are designed for older adults who live in the community. This research describes a health promotion program called "Remembering When" (a fire and fall prevention program). In 2020, a quality improvement project was developed to examine the effectiveness and impact of Remembering When among community-dwelling older adults.

The extracellular space of plant tissues contains hundreds of hydrolases that might harm colonising microbes. Successful pathogens may suppress these hydrolases to enable disease. Here, we report the dynamics of extracellular hydrolases in Nicotiana benthamiana upon infection with Pseudomonas syringae.

Platelets are small anucleate cell fragments (2-4 μm in diameter) in the blood, which play an essential role in thrombosis and hemostasis. Genetic or acquired platelet dysfunctions are linked to bleeding, increased risk of thromboembolic events and cardiovascular diseases. Advanced proteomic approaches may pave the way to a better understanding of the roles of platelets in hemostasis, and pathophysiological processes such as inflammation, metastatic spread and thrombosis.
