Background: Fixation preserves the tissues in a close to the life-like state by preventing its autolysis and putrefaction. Formalin has long been considered the close to ideal fixative for histological studies. With the awareness of occupational hazards, a few researchers have tried phenoxetol as a secondary preservative which offered comparable histological results to that of formalin.

Underutilised yet abundantly available seaweed species require a thorough investigation of biochemical characteristics prior to their valorisation. Abundantly available Australian seaweed species lack such comprehensive investigations within the global seaweed industrial value chains.

These receptors either activate or repress the transcription of target genes, which in turn promotes or suppresses physiological processes governing growth, differentiation, and homeostasis. NRs bind to specific DNA sequences and, in response to ligand binding, either promote or hinder the assembly of the transcriptional machinery, thereby influencing gene expression at the transcriptional level.

In this study, standard clinical central venous pressure (CVP) signals are tested as a potential alternative.
Methods: Sixteen patients with a temporary pacemaker after cardiac surgery were studied.
