The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic required an immediate global clinical research response. The ACTIV (Accelerating COVID-19 Therapeutic Interventions and Vaccines)-3 trials and the ACTIV-associated Outpatient Treatment with Anti-Coronavirus Immunoglobulin trial used Good Participatory Practices (GPP) to develop materials for study implementation from a global network perspective. GPP guidelines offer a framework for engaging stakeholders throughout the research process.

Background: The association between dialysis and carpal tunnel syndrome is well-established. As the number of patients living with dialysis-dependent end-stage renal disease (ESRD) increases, it is important that we understand outcomes after carpal tunnel release in this population.
Background: We recently sought to integrate our orthopaedic and plastic hand surgeons with the goal of improving education, patient care, and providing seamless, continuous coverage for our trauma center. Our hypothesis was that integration could serve both the orthopaedic and plastic surgery training programs well and provide more consistent care for the trauma patients.
Materials And Methods: Program director approval was granted for blinded analysis of case logs from plastic and orthopaedic surgery programs from 2012 through 2019.
Amyloidosis can lead to cardiac, renal, and other multiorgan failure. New treatments have become available that can prolong survival but rely on early diagnosis. Manifestations of amyloidosis in hand surgery include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, peripheral neuropathy, and spontaneous distal biceps rupture.

We present a novel case of NTM flexor tenosynovitis in which was found to be the causative agent. The patient presented with pain and insidiously progressive swelling and required multiple operative interventions and a complex antimicrobial regimen based on susceptibility profiles.
