Purpose: Effective treatment of locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) remains an unmet need. Antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) providing targeted drug delivery have shown antitumor activity in this setting. AGS15E is an investigational ADC that delivers the cytotoxic drug monomethyl auristatin E to cells expressing SLITRK6, a UC-associated antigen.

Article Synopsis
  • - Neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (NAIT) occurs when a mother’s antibodies pass through the placenta and attack the platelets of her fetus, leading to complications like inadequate weight gain in the baby.
  • - A reported case showed severe NAIT that improved after treatment with platelet products and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), revealing a link to the mother's history of gestational pemphigus.
  • - The study emphasizes the need to understand how maternal autoimmune conditions, like pemphigoid gestationis (PG), can affect fetal health and highlight the complex interactions between these conditions.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is associated with about 90% of renal malignancies, and its incidence is increasing globally. Plant-derived compounds have gained significant attention in the scientific community for their preventative and therapeutic effects on cancer. To evaluate the anticancer potential of phytocompounds for RCC, we compiled a comprehensive and systematic review of the available literature.
