Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most frequent form of skin cancer and is not a tumor with a lethal outcome if diagnosed and treated adequately. The gold standard for treatment is surgical excision with histologically safe margins. Even so, tumors excised with free margins may recur after a period of time.

Machine learning (ML) provides novel and powerful ways of accurately and efficiently recognizing complex patterns, emulating nonlinear dynamics, and predicting the spatio-temporal evolution of weather and climate processes. Off-the-shelf ML models, however, do not necessarily obey the fundamental governing laws of physical systems, nor do they generalize well to scenarios on which they have not been trained. We survey systematic approaches to incorporating physics and domain knowledge into ML models and distill these approaches into broad categories.

Aim: To present the personal experience in assessing the treatment of pubic disjunction in Young-Burguess type II and III pelvic ring fractures.
Material And Methods: Included in the study were 30 patients with type II and III pelvic ring fractures, aged 32 to 76 years. Of these, 18 patients were treated with external fixation, and 12 patients were treated surgically: type II fractures were treated with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of pubic disjunction and type III fractures underwent additionally posterior fixation.
Introduction: Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) are phase 2 enzymes responsible for catalyzing the biotransformation of a wide variety of electrophilic compounds, having a crucial role in the detoxification of active metabolites of procarcinogens produced by phase 1 reactions, tying them to glutathione and promoting their excretion in the urine.
Objectives: we evaluated GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1 genotypes in patients diagnosed with multiple malignancies, of which at least one was found in the prostate, bladder or kidney.
Materials And Methods: GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1 genotypes were genetically assessed in 34 patients with multiple urologic cancers and 23 patients with urologic cancer associated with another type of cancer.
