An ideal codrug design should be able to control drug release, offer selectivity during drug delivery, and break down into non-toxic fragments after biodegradation. Our design incorporates d-ribofuranose as the core, with carbamate and carbonate groups as linking joints, a phosphodiester moiety as an enzyme recognition site, and lenalidomide and paclitaxel as the constituent drugs. The codrug synthesis involves seven steps with a 33% overall yield.

Low expression of plasma gelsolin (pGSN), a serum abundant protein, has been found to correlate with inflammation and fibrosis. Here, we evaluated pGSN expression in patients with different stages of cancer and therapeutic responses, and delineated the molecular mechanisms involved to gain insight into therapeutic strategies for ESCC.

Methods: A novel three-dimensional printer was developed based on the extrusion-based DIW principle. The printer, constructed primarily with open-source hardware, was calibrated to print with a flowable resin composite (Beautifil Flow Plus).
Introduction: We aimed to describe a clinical presentation of central serous retinopathy that poses a diagnostic and management dilemma.
Case Presentation: A 30-year-old male patient presented with bilateral vision loss and multifocal serous retinal detachments involving the posterior pole of both eyes. Optical coherence tomography revealed prominent bilateral bacillary layer detachments.
