Objective:  To report the use of a Lateral Epicondylar Anatomical Plate for the management of humeral condylar fractures (HCF) in dogs.

Study Design:  Medical records of dogs with HCF stabilized using the Lateral Epicondylar Anatomical Plate at six UK veterinary referral centres between April 2018 and February 2021 were reviewed. Long-term follow-up (>6 months) was obtained via owner questionnaire, which incorporated the Liverpool Osteoarthritis in Dogs clinical metrology instrument.

Objective:  This study aimed to compare the accuracy of sternal recumbency caudocranially obtained radiographs of canine femora to computed tomographic (CT) frontal plane reconstructions of the same femora for assessing anatomic distal lateral femoral angles (aLDFA).

Study Design:  Multicentre, retrospective study utilizing 81 matched radiographic and CT studies of clinical patients undergoing assessment for various issues were reviewed. Anatomic lateral distal femoral angles were measured, and accuracy assessed with descriptive statistics and Bland-Altman plot analysis, with CT considered the reference standard.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronaviruses 1 and 2 (SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2) derive transmissibility from spike protein activation in the receptor binding domain (RBD) and binding to the host cell angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). However, the mechanistic details that describe the large-scale conformational changes associated with spike protein activation or deactivation are still somewhat unknown. Here, we have employed an extensive set of nonequilibrium all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, utilizing a novel protocol, for the SARS-CoV-1 (CoV-1) and SARS-CoV-2 (CoV-2) prefusion spike proteins in order to characterize the conformational pathways associated with the active-to-inactive transition.

Objective:  The aim of this study was to report new preoperative and intraoperative techniques performed for canine thoracic or lumbar spine kyphosis stabilization using three-dimensional-printed patient-specific drill guides, polyaxial titanium bone plates and drill stops, and to determine the accuracy of screw placement using these techniques.

Study Design:  Retrospective study, five client-owned dogs.

Results:  Three-dimensional-printed patient-specific drill guides and drill stops allowed safe drilling and screw placement in all of the cases, with (i) 84% of the screws graded as I (ideal placement) and 16% as IIa, IIIa or IIIb according to the modified Zdichavsky classification (partial penetration of medial pedicle wall, partial penetration of lateral pedicle wall and full penetration of lateral pedicle wall respectively), (ii) mean mediolateral deviation of ± 4.
