Objectives: To facilitate earlier diagnosis of autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARDs), we aimed to 1) develop START, a novel multimedia-based symptom appraisal tool for ARDs and 2) pilot test START among established ARD cases and non-ARD controls.

Methods: We developed START using a social cognitive theory-based theoretical framework and consensus-based lists of ARDs and manifestations from our previous work. START was revised through reviews by an expert panel of rheumatologists and cognitive debriefing interviews (CDIs) with patients newly referred for assessment of ARDs.

Introduction: Whole-body MRI (WB-MRI) is increasingly used in clinical practice for detection of malignant bone disease. A high relative contrast ratio (RCR) of malignant bone lesions compared with normal bone can improve disease detection in breast, prostate and myeloma malignancies. However, the RCR of malignant bone lesions on T1w, DWI and relative Fat Fraction (rFF) maps derived from Dixon T1w have not been compared.

Purpose To compare visual versus quantitative ablation confirmation for identifying local tumor progression and residual tumor following microwave ablation (MWA) of colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). Materials and Methods This retrospective study included patients undergoing MWA of CRLM from October 2014 to February 2018. Two independent readers visually assessed pre- and postprocedure images and semiquantitatively scored for incomplete ablation, using a six-point Likert scale, and extracted quantitative imaging metrics of minimal ablative margin (MAM) and percentage of tumor outside of the ablation zone, using both rigid and deformable registration.

Cells regulate gene expression through various RNA regulatory mechanisms, and this regulation often becomes less efficient with age, contributing to accelerated aging and various age-related diseases. Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), a well-characterized RNA surveillance mechanism, degrades aberrant mRNAs with premature termination codons (PTCs) to prevent the synthesis of truncated proteins. While the role of NMD in cancer and developmental and genetic diseases is well documented, its implications in human aging remain largely unexplored.

This article presents a comprehensive dataset compiling reported cases of typhoid fever from culture-confirmed outbreaks across various geographical locations from 2000 through 2022, categorized into daily, weekly, and monthly time series. The dataset was curated by identifying peer-reviewed epidemiological studies available in PubMed, OVID-Medline, and OVID-Embase. Time-series incidence data were extracted from plots using WebPlotDigitizer, followed by verification of a subset of the dataset.
