Measurements and Monte Carlo simulations of the spectral variations of the cosmic-ray-induced neutrons at the Pic du Midi over a 2-y period.

In this paper, a Bonner Sphere Spectrometer extended to high energies (HERMEIS) was employed to measure continuously the cosmic-ray-induced neutron spectra over a long-term period (2 y) at mountain altitude and medium geomagnetic latitude (Pic du Midi de Bigorre in the French Pyrenees, +2885 m, 5.6 GV). The results showed 1-y sinusoidal oscillations in the integrated fluence rates.

An investigation of the spatial variations of the energetic trapped electrons at low altitudes.

We have analyzed the trapped electron data (0.19-3.2 MeV) taken by the Japanese OHZORA satellite operated at 350-850 km altitude in polar orbit during 1984-1987 near solar minimum.

[Osteoid osteoma. 5 cases].

With reference to five cases of osteoid osteoma, including two para-articular cases with articular reaction, two cases with neurological manifestations, and one case with a rare costal lesion, the authors demonstrate the difficulty of diagnosis in this disease, which is, in principle, well known. In some cases the observations extended over seven years. The authors also review the literature on this subject.
