A "buried penis" causes functional problems and embarrassment. In the past, this complex condition was only seen in extremely overweight patients or as a result of severe inflammations in this region. More recently, this problem has also been observed in patients with massive weight loss following bariatric surgery.

A Severely Burned Hemophiliac.

Patients suffering from moderate or severe hemophilia A are particularly vulnerable to trauma injury, being on high risk of immediate exsanguination. Due to a rareness of this disease, there are very few reports about the management of severe injuries of the affected patients. No guidelines for the management of burn trauma of hemophiliac patients have been yet established.

[Complication of self-injection with petroleum jelly for penis augmentation].

An increasing number of complications after penis enlargement procedures, sometimes self-performed, are being observed in Germany and in the other countries. This report presents a case of a 43-year-old patient who presented with multiple fistulas, paraffinomas and bacterial superinfection after having injected petroleum jelly into his penis. In order to remove the foreign bodies as well as the infected and necrotic tissue the complete epithelium had to be radically excised.

Skin/nipple sparing mastectomies and implant-based breast reconstruction in patients with large and ptotic breast: oncological and reconstructive results.

In this study we performed 77 procedures on 65 patients fulfilling the oncological criteria for skin-sparing mastectomy and presenting with large or medium size breasts. All the operations were performed as a single-stage procedure with an anatomical prosthesis allocated into a compound pouch, made up of the pectoralis major, serratus anterior fascia, and a lower dermal adipose flap.
