Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Sexual dysfunction is a multifactorial health condition characterized by distressing disturbances in the sexual response and libido, leading to an inability to maintain penile erection and achieve pleasure. Considering the huge Brazilian biodiversity, many plants are traditionally used for aphrodisiac purposes. However, the use of native medicinal plants as sexual boosters in Brazil has been poorly studied.

With the purpose to identify the native species used in traditional Brazilian medicine for the management of helminthiasis, ethnopharmacological books edited in Brazil documenting the folk use of medicinal plants were analyzed. The native species cited in at least three studies were selected, and bibliographic research was performed using electronic databases to identify their scientifically validated anthelmintic properties.

The most affected people by this problem usually live in poor rural communities, where medical resources are often sparse and, in some instances, there is even a scarcity of serum therapy. The administration of the appropriate antivenom is the only specific treatment available, however it has limited efficacy against venom-induced local effects.

Data were filtered for local field potentials (LFPs) and downsampled to 1 ms to yield a matrix of time series consisting of 60 electrode × 60 000 time samples per electrode per day per MEA. Each electrode time series was rendered stationary and nonautocorrelated by applying an ARIMA (25, 1, 1) model and taking the residuals (i.

Nine percent of 2,721 hospital employees, previously tuberculin negative, were PPD positive when tested with 5 TU of PPD (Aplisol, Parke-Davis). Seventy percent of the positive reactions were found to be erroneous on retesting with Tubersol (Connaught). The excessive potency of Aplisol led to excessive expenditures of time and money investigating a nonexistent outbreak.
