and are recognized as emerging pathogens with zoonotic potential. Despite their increasing importance, there is a paucity of data on the cytotoxicity of these two pathogens. Therefore, in the present study, we investigated the cytotoxic potentials of the cell-free supernatants from 10 and 15 isolates for their cytotoxic effects on four different cell lines (CHO, Vero, HeLa, and MDCK).

Although gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging remains the initial imaging modality of choice, a whole-body F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography-computed tomography is imperative to exclude systemic lymphomatous involvement. Furthermore, the metabolic parameter, maximum standardized uptake value (SUV) of the lesion, tumor-to-normal cerebral tissue SUV ratio, and FDG uptake patterns help in differentiating intracranial lymphomas from High-grade Glioblastoma Multiforme (HGM) and infectious lesions, and hence, consolidating the diagnosis.

However, chemoresistance is prevalent in 18%-50% of the cases. One of the important and most studied causes of chemoresistance is P-glycoprotein (Pgp) expression.

These compounds were synthesized by reacting an intermediate compound (2,4)-5-([1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl)-4-(amino)-2-methylpentanoic acid ethyl ester hydrochloride with respective carboxylic acid (RCOOH). The molecular structures of all the newly synthesized compounds were determined by H and C NMR, ESI mass spectrometry, FTIR spectroscopy, and CHN analysis.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA total of 38 Escherichia coli isolates were recovered from 120 samples collected from various sources of broiler chicken farms (n = 10 each) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Though the recovered E. coli isolates were found variably resistant to the tested antibiotics, all the tested isolates were susceptible to meropenem.
