Background: Epidural spinal cord stimulation (eSCS) is canonically used for the treatment of intractable, chronic pain. Recent efforts have successfully utilized eSCS to improve neurological deficits in patients with spinal cord injury. However, there is a paucity of literature on the use of eSCS for demyelinating conditions, with no prior case reports examining eSCS among patients with transverse myelitis (TM).

  • 30 Veterans were evaluated using three positions: Hypersupination, Airplane, and Total Supported Abduction (TSA), with participants rating their pain and ease of holding each position.
  • Results showed that Hypersupination was the most painful and least preferred position, while Airplane and TSA were not significantly different in terms of discomfort, suggesting they may be better options for patient comfort during the procedure.

Objective: Social anxiety is associated with alterations in socioemotional processing, but the pathophysiology remains poorly understood. Movies present an opportunity to examine more naturalistic socioemotional processing by providing narrative and sensory context to emotion cues. This study aimed to characterize associations between neural response to contextualized social cues and social anxiety symptoms in children.

Acceptability of a sexual violence (SV) risk reduction program called designed for first-year female college students was conducted as part of a larger, randomized controlled trial. uses web-based and mobile technology to deliver four 45-minute theoretically and empirically derived modules designed to increase knowledge, affect attitudes and normative beliefs, increase bystander and other protective behaviors, and reduce alcohol misuse. Educational entertainment is used throughout the program to achieve these aims.
