Purpose: We tested whether blinatumomab (Blina) is effective as a toxicity-sparing alternative to first-line intensive chemotherapy in children and young persons (CYP) with B-ALL who were chemotherapy-intolerant or chemotherapy-resistant.
Methods: Data were collected for consecutive CYP (age 1-24 years) with Philadelphia chromosome-positive or Philadelphia chromosome-negative B-ALL who received Blina as first-line therapy. Blina was given as replacement for postremission intensive chemotherapy to patients with chemotherapy intolerance or resistance.
The management of soybean rust (SBR) caused by the obligate fungus mostly relies on the use of synthetic fungicides, especially in areas where the disease inflicts serious yield losses. The reliance on synthetic fungicides to manage this disease has resulted in resistance of populations to most fungicides. In this study, bacteria isolated from diverse environments were evaluated for their biocontrol potential against using soybean detached-leaf method and on-plant in the growth chamber, greenhouse, and field.

A histopathological hallmark of AD and many ADRDs is the aberrant intracellular accumulation of the microtubule-associated protein tau. These neurodegenerative disorders that contain tau aggregates are collectively known as tauopathies, and recent structural studies have shown that different tauopathies are characterized by different "strains" of tau filaments.
