As an alternative to fossil-based polymers, polylactide acid (PLA) has stimulated a significant research effort in the past few years due to the demand for environmentally friendly products. Even though PLA is considered a sustainable or bio-based material, the long-term degradation in ambient conditions increases the volume of waste at end-of-life. To overcome this issue, PLA waste can be recycled to produce new manufactures; however, this approach does not always ensure the same mechanical properties as the original PLA.

Background: Enthesitis is a common feature of spondyloarthritis and can severely impair the patient's quality of life. International guidelines recommend multidisciplinary management of this condition, combining physical and pharmacological interventions. In this case report, we demonstrate clinical and ultrasonographic improvements by prescribing local cryotherapy and therapeutic exercise alone in an adult woman with non-radiographic axial SpA (nRX-AxSpA) complaining of heel enthesitis.

Prevalence estimates of Parkinson's disease (PD)-the fastest-growing neurodegenerative disease-are generally underestimated due to issues surrounding diagnostic accuracy, symptomatic undiagnosed cases, suboptimal prodromal monitoring, and limited screening access. Remotely monitored wearable devices and sensors provide precise, objective, and frequent measures of motor and non-motor symptoms. Here, we used consumer-grade wearable device and sensor data from the WATCH-PD study to develop a PD screening tool aimed at eliminating the gap between patient symptoms and diagnosis.

The Zika virus (ZIKV) is a global health threat due to its rapid spread and severe health implications, including congenital abnormalities and neurological complications. Differentiating ZIKV from other arboviruses such as dengue virus (DENV) is crucial for effective diagnosis and treatment.
