Background: Expanding access to equitable health insurance is an important lever towards the overall strategy for achieving universal health coverage. In Nigeria, health insurance coverage is low with a renewed government action on increasing access to and coverage of high-quality healthcare services to citizens, particularly for the vulnerable and poor population. Therefore, our study co-creates the priorities for expanding health insurance in Nigeria, focusing on key policy reforms, public advocacy, and innovative financing strategies to ensure broader and more equitable coverage for the population.

Patent and proprietary medicine vendors in Nigeria play a very integral role in providing primary health care services and are an important source of care for the poor. They are located close to communities and are often the first source of care for hygiene and family planning (FP) products and treatment of child illnesses. Since 2017, Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) has partnered with Society for Family Health through the IntegratE project to address the poor quality of services by patent and proprietary medicine vendors (PPMVs) and reposition them for better service delivery through piloting the three-tier accreditation system.

<b>Background and Objective:</b> Gamma irradiation induces genotoxicity, characterized by the formation of extra-nuclear bodies and left behind during the anaphase stage of cell division, often referred to as a micronucleus (MN). The present work aims to monitor exposure to ionizing radiation as a genotoxic agent in the lymphocytes of workers at radiation energy centers. <b>Materials and Methods:</b> The lymphocyte cytokinesis block micronucleus assay used and analyzed the correlation between the Nuclear Division Index (NDI), age, blood type and the number of micronuclei (MN).

: Hemodialysis (HD) catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSIs) are a major complication of long-/short-term catheter. : Patients with HD CRBSIs were identified, and their blood was taken and sent to clinical pathology for culture and sensitivity testing.
