Aim: To investigate the factors influencing the choice of penile prosthesis and to evaluate the results of surgical treatment of patients suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED).
Materials And Methods: Surgical results of penile prosthesis implantation in 348 patients were reviewed. The analysis included such factors as age, weight, height, body mass index (BMI) and the type of prosthesis.
Background: As available data on implantation-related infections is contradictory, the aim was to identify the predictors of penile prosthesis infection.
Methods: We performed an umbrella review and meta-analysis including systematic reviews with extractable data. Literature search was done in two databases: PubMed and Google Scholar.
Room temperature lateral p-i-nlight-emitting diodes (LEDs) with photonic crystals embedded in the i-region were fabricated on structures with Ge(Si) self-assembled islands and their optical properties were investigated. The use of preliminary amorphization and solid phase epitaxy of the implanted pand ncontact regions made it possible to reduce the impurity activation temperature from 800 °С-1100 °С to 600 °С, which corresponds to the growth temperature of Ge(Si) islands. This resulted in a significant reduction of the detrimental effect of the high-temperature annealing used for diode formation on the intensity and spectral position of the luminescence signal from the islands.

Ge self-assembled quantum dots served as an internal light source. It was obtained that changing the air hole depth is a powerful tool which allows tuning of the optical properties of the PhC.

The aromatic hydrocarbon substituents were attached to dUTPs via a CHCHCHNHCOCH linker. The efficiency of the PCR incorporation of modified dUMPs using Taq, Tth, Vent (exo-) and Deep Vent (exo-) polymerases and a model DNA template containing one, two and three adjacent adenine nucleotides at three different sites within the sequence was investigated.
