[Accuracy of blood glucose concentration values outcome performed at various skin sites with personal glucose meters].

Aim: The aim of this study was the comparison of capillary blood glucose values performed at different skin sites with various glucose meters.

Patients And Methods: 50 type 2 - diabetic patients were enrolled into the study. At the first part of study - in stable glucose phase, measurements were performed with four various glucose meters at four skin sites: finger, forearm, abdomen, big toe.

[The picture of visual evoked potentials in type 2 diabetes mellitus].

The aim of this study was to assess frequency of abnormal visual evoked potentials in type 2 diabetic patients and the correlation between patients' age, duration of the disease, metabolic control and coexisting clinical complications on the abnormal recordings. 41 diabetic patients, aged 35 to 62 years were examined. The VEP recordings were performed four times, each time using a pattern made up of elements of another size (18, 36, 72 and 144 angular minutes).

[Suprascapular nerve entrapment. A case report].

At the same time shoulder pain and fever occurred, the latter due to the tooth apical abscess. Several months later atrophy of the left supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles was found.

[Use of needle electromyography for diagnosis of radiculopathies].

Radiculopathy is sometimes evaluated with needle electromyography as additional examination to radiographic imaging. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal needle electromyography protocol and the use of needle electromyography in the diagnosis of radiculopathy. The authors analysed English language writings from years 1981-2000.
